Privacy policy
Effective October 26, 2026
Yume Railway (“we”, “us”) runs YumeRailway.com, where people can join an early-access list for a planned Japanese-inspired train-cabin experience in Alameda, California. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the list.
- Answers you choose to give after joining: whether you’d book at the planned price, who you’d come with, and your ZIP code. All of these are optional.
- How you found us: the campaign, ad set, ad and placement named in the link you clicked, Meta’s click ID, which version of the page headline you saw, and the referral code if a friend sent you. You also get your own referral code, so we can count friends who join through your link.
- Information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page address. We use it to protect the form from automated abuse and to measure our ads.
- Which version of the text under the form, and of the offer on the page, you saw when you joined.
How we use it
- To email you about Yume Railway: the location, the opening date, meal choices and preview nights. We’ll only email you about Yume Railway.
- To understand interest in the concept, such as how many people would book at the planned price and how many live nearby.
- To measure and improve our ads.
- To keep spam and automated signups off the list.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the page, and the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. Both use cookies and similar technologies, and Google and Meta may collect information about your activity on this site and on other websites over time.
When you join the list, we also send Meta a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email address, your IP address and your browser details through Meta’s Conversions API, so Meta can tell which ad led to the signup. Your browser keeps a small note of the ad link you arrived from for up to 30 days, so your signup is credited to the right ad.
You can limit this tracking with your browser’s cookie settings, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and your Meta ad preferences. Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the list:
- Vercel, which hosts the site, stores the list and checks the form for bots
- Resend, which sends our emails
- Google, for analytics
- Meta, for ad measurement as described above
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while the list is active, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep a note of that so we don’t email you again.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of every email.
- To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email hello@yumerailway.com. We’ll confirm by email once it’s done.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Security
The list is kept in private storage that only our server can read. No way of storing or sending information is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll also let people on the list know by email.
